About Ryan
Ryan T. Schneider is the Founder and Principal of PIER Commercial Real Estate Brokerage, LLC and PIER Commercial Real Estate Management, LLC, leading both firms since their formation in 2013. He is a hands-on operator and dealmaker known for clear strategy, disciplined execution, and strong negotiation—serving owners, investors, and users across Coastal Georgia.
Ryan’s work spans industrial, retail, office, land, and investment sales and leasing, with additional depth in horizontal land development and the redevelopment/repositioning of retail and office assets. He brings a practical, field-tested understanding of value creation—balancing market intelligence with deal structure, timeline control, and stakeholder management.
His foundation was built in valuation and consulting. Ryan began his career in 1991 with Marshall & Stevens, traveling throughout the Eastern United States on complex assignments involving manufacturing and industrial facilities, hotels and resort properties, retail centers, senior housing (ACLFs), apartment portfolios, and large land tracts. In the mid-1990s, Ryan expanded his commercial skill set through Fortune 500 territory management roles with Pfizer, Inc. (Original Labs Division) and Novartis, Inc., covering Tampa, Sarasota, Bradenton, Cape Coral, and Fort Myers—experience that sharpened his sales discipline, relationship-building, and performance-driven execution while he remained active in real estate.
Ryan later worked with Hugh Armstrong Real Estate Company and assumed leadership in 2002, continuing to grow the platform before buying out a partner and forming PIER in 2013.
He earned a Bachelor of Business (Real Estate and Banking) from Georgia Southern University and holds the CCIM designation, reflecting advanced expertise in investment analysis and commercial deal structure. Ryan is a member of the RCA of Savannah/Hilton Head and previously served as President of the organization. He is also deeply involved in the Savannah community, serving as a past Chairman of the Board for the YMCA of Coastal Georgia and as a board member of The Habersham School.
Ryan lives in Isle of Hope, Georgia with his wife, and they have a daughter currently attending Auburn University. He attends Community Bible Church in Savannah.
